Datarella is offering its customers state-of-the-art Self-Sovereign Identity infrastructure with its SSI Wallet for innovative identity management.
Summary
Source

The SSI Wallet by Datarella is a Self-Sovereign Identity solution launched in June 2021 that implements key digital identity standards and protocols. The wallet is built on the Aries Framework Go and supports multiple DID methods including did:peer for private connections and did:web or DIF's Sidetree protocol for public identity verification. It features selective disclosure capabilities through BBS+ signatures and integrates with the eIDAS framework for EU-compliant identity verification.

From a technical perspective, the wallet enables users to interact with SSI-compatible websites and IoT edge devices while maintaining privacy through its native support for pairwise pseudonymous DIDs that prevent correlation between different interactions. A key feature is the SDKR (Secure Decentralized Key Recovery) mechanism that allows users to backup and recover their private keys using only their official EU electronic ID, leveraging StorJ for decentralized storage. The solution can be deployed either in a fully peer-to-peer mode without a ledger or using public DID methods depending on the use case requirements.

The project has received funding through the European Commission's Horizon 2020 research program (Project No. 824509) under the Block.IS initiative. It is being integrated into several Gaia-X projects including collaborations with major industrial partners like Bosch, Airbus, and Continental. The wallet's focus on EU standards compliance and integration with official electronic ID systems positions it as a bridge between traditional identity infrastructure and decentralized identity solutions.

Tech Stack Self Description
Source
The SSI Wallet is meant to be deployed in ecosystems that allow users to interact with each other, with SSI compatible websites and IoT edge devices like micromobility vehicles. This is enabled by the Aries Framework Go, which supports a broad variety of edge- and cloud environments. The wallet further provides a high level of privacy as it natively supports did:peer methods which creates pairwise pseudonymous DIDs for each individual connection and therefore avoids correlation by design. Even though did:peer does not require a ledger, the Aries-Framework Go supports public DID methods like did:web or DIF’s Sidetree protocol. It further allows selective disclosure of credentials thanks to its support for BBS+ signatures.
