MOBIX

MOBIX is a blockchain-based micromobility platform launched in 2021 that implements Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) technology to incentivize sustainable urban transportation. The platform leverages the Aries Framework Go and integrates with the IDunion ledger for managing decentralized identities. Its core technical infrastructure includes Autonomous Economic Agents, Smart Decentralized Key Recovery (SDKR), and operates on the Fetch.ai blockchain.

The platform's SSI implementation uses the did:peer method to generate unique DIDs for private, encrypted communication channels between actors. The MOBIX Wallet serves as both a mobile SSI agent and cryptocurrency wallet, allowing users to earn MOBIX Miles rewards for eco-friendly transportation choices which can be converted to MOBX tokens.
