NOMIX

NOMIX is a digital health project combining Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) infrastructure with artificial intelligence to create a decentralized framework for managing personal health and biomarker data. The platform leverages Aries Framework Go for its SSI implementation, supporting various DID methods including did:peer and did:web, along with BBS+ signatures for selective disclosure of credentials. The core technical infrastructure enables privacy-preserving data sharing and collective machine learning without requiring users to expose their datasets to other stakeholders or rely on centralized authorities.

The project's main application, BIOCOACH, implements a system of autonomous AI agents that process personal health data to generate longevity recommendations. These agents operate within a blockchain-mediated learning system that maintains user privacy while enabling collaborative model building across multiple healthcare stakeholders. The platform incorporates an incentive mechanism through the NOMIX Token system, where users can receive rewards for contributing their health data to research and development purposes.

First announced in September 2021 and scheduled for launch in 2024, NOMIX is being developed by Datarella, which provides the underlying SSI wallet infrastructure. The wallet implementation supports integration with IoT edge devices and features a decentralized key backup mechanism called SDKR that utilizes eIDAS standards and StorJ for secure storage. The project aims to advance 4P medicine (predictive, proactive, personalized, participatory) through its Collective Digital Immune System (CODIS) framework.
