Trinsic

Trinsic is a cloud-native infrastructure platform launched in 2019 that enables developers to implement Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) and verifiable credentials into applications. The platform supports key digital identity standards including W3C Verifiable Credentials, W3C DIDs, and OpenID Connect, while implementing zero-knowledge proofs through BBS+ signatures for enhanced privacy.

The platform's core components include:

• Trinsic Studio - A dashboard for managing credential issuance and verification
• Trinsic Wallet - A white-label digital wallet solution for storing credentials
• Trinsic Core - APIs and SDKs for credential management and verification
• Identity Acceptance Network - Infrastructure for verifying digital IDs across different providers

Notable technical features include:

• Support for multiple DID methods including did:key, did:sov and did:indy
• Integration with Hyperledger frameworks including Aries, Indy, and Ursa
• Cloud-hosted wallets with multi-device synchronization
• Credential templates for standardized issuance
• Near-instant verification (<200ms)

The platform has demonstrated real-world adoption through work with the Government of British Columbia on COVID-19 essential worker credentials and integration with various digital identity networks. In late 2024, Trinsic divested its SSI assets to Dentity while pivoting its focus to identity verification acceptance, highlighting the evolving nature of the digital identity space.
