Teacher Wallet

Teacher Wallet is a blockchain-based digital credential management system developed through a partnership between RANDA Solutions and Digital Promise. The system implements the W3C Verifiable Credentials Data Model to create a comprehensive digital portfolio for educators, consolidating various professional credentials, certifications, and micro-credentials in one accessible location.

The platform integrates with Digital Promise's existing micro-credential ecosystem, which offers over 550 competency-based credentials, and combines them with 18 different data verticals of teacher practice information. Key technical features include:

• Integration with Badgr digital badge platform
• Support for multiple credential issuers and consumers
• Blockchain-based verification of credentials
• Secure data sharing controls for teachers

The system has achieved notable adoption through RANDA Solutions' existing presence in the education sector, where their platforms impact approximately 10% of the U.S. teaching population. Launched in 2020 as part of "The Lifelong Learner Project, Powered by Teachers," Teacher Wallet represents an effort to address credential fragmentation in education by creating an interoperable ecosystem that allows educators to maintain control over their professional data while enabling verification by educational institutions and employers.
