Xertify
Xertify is a digital certification platform launched in 2019 that leverages blockchain technology and Self-Sovereign Identity principles to issue and verify academic credentials. The platform implements the W3C Verifiable Credentials Data Model and stores credentials on the Ethereum network using the MIT BlockCerts standard.
The core technical infrastructure includes:
- Digital Wallet functionality for storing and sharing credentials

- Digital signatures
- QR code verification
- Alphanumeric validation codes
- Smart contract implementation
Notable implementations include work with Colombian educational institutions and participation in The Covid Credentials Initiative for digital health certificates. The platform supports credential issuance in multiple languages and allows automated batch processing of documents. Xertify was accelerated through Silicon Valley's Self-Sovereign Identity Incubator and has positioned itself as a key player in bringing SSI technology to Latin America's education sector.
