TrustGrid is a decentralized digital identity ecosystem launched in 2021 that implements Self-Sovereign Identity principles through a combination of blockchain technology and edge computing infrastructure. The platform utilizes W3C DID and W3C Verifiable Credentials standards to enable users to control their digital identities and personal data through the vrtYou mobile wallet application.

The system's core technical architecture consists of two main components: The DeGrid decentralized infrastructure that handles secure transactions and credential management through edge computing nodes, and the vrtYou mobile wallet that provides users with a Hardware Root of Trust for managing their credentials.
