The E-ID guarantees a high level of data protection with a number of precautions. Due to decentralized data storage, it is only available on the owner's smartphone and is protected from unauthorized access there. In addition, users decide for themselves who they send which data to. In particular, proof of being over 18 years old can be provided without revealing the exact date of birth or even the name. Furthermore, third parties, companies or authorities have no knowledge of when and how the E-ID is used everywhere.
Credential profile data is sourced from the Open Wallet Foundation digital-wallet-and-agent-overviews-sig project, licensed under the Apache License 2.0
