Summary

SiriusID is a W3C-compliant digital identity solution developed by ProximaX that implements Self-Sovereign Identity principles. Launched in 2020, it operates on the ProximaX Sirius blockchain platform and utilizes several decentralized services including:

  • Distributed storage for credential data
  • Streaming capabilities for data transmission
  • Distributed database functionality
  • Supercontracts (enhanced smart contracts)

The platform follows the standard SSI model with three main actors: credential issuers, ID owners, and credential verifiers. It implements the did:sirius method which was accepted and published by the World Wide Web Consortium in July 2020. Technical features include:

  • Support for W3C Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs)
  • Zero-knowledge proofs for selective disclosure
  • Multi-credential grouping capabilities
  • Integration with TOTP for two-factor authentication
  • White-label mobile wallet application for credential management

Notable implementations include partnerships with the Ministry of Community Development UAE and the Cambodia Veteran Association for identity management solutions. The platform is available in both public and private network configurations, with the public network offering free access for basic identity management needs. All core components are open-source and available through GitLab, allowing for community review and contributions.

SiriusID by ProximaX is a W3C-compliant digital identity solution that uses the self-sovereign identity ("SSI") security model. As a complete plug-n-play stack, it is a blockchain-powered platform that allows anyone to develop their digital ID solution via its APIs and SDK. The solution uses the ProximaX Sirius platform as the resilient data storage mechanism that incorporates several decentralized services, including storage, streaming, database, and Supercontract (enhanced smart contract).
