Digitary CORE (Certified Online Records Exchange) is a secure online platform that enables the world’s leading institutions, employers and government agencies to certify, issue, accept and verify academic credentials worldwide.
Summary
Source

Digitary CORE (Certified Online Records Exchange) is a digital credentialing platform that enables educational institutions to issue, verify and manage academic credentials. The platform leverages advanced cryptographic security standards and Self-Sovereign Identity principles to provide secure digital credentials.

The system's core technical infrastructure utilizes XAdES-A and PAdES-LTV standards from the European Technical Standards Institute for document security, with digital signatures produced on FIPS 140-2 Level 3 cryptographic hardware devices. Notable features include:

  • Digital credential issuance with cryptographic signatures
  • Verifiable Credentials support through integration with W3C VC standards
  • Digital wallets for learners to store and share credentials
  • Integration with institutional systems via REST APIs
  • Compliance with regional security standards including EU eIDAS

The platform has achieved significant adoption, being used by over 80 higher education institutions globally and having issued more than 2 million digital credentials to 1.5 million learners. Key implementations include partnerships with CHESICC (Chinese Ministry of Education) for verified Chinese credentials and the MyCreds national network in Canada. The system emphasizes learner control over credential sharing while maintaining institutional verification, aligning with emerging Self-Sovereign Identity principles in digital credentialing.

Digitary documents comply with relevant security standards in each geographical region, such as XAdES-A and PAdES-LTV from the European Technical Standards Institute. Digitary provides the maximum level of security and legal validity of documents and data by adhering to these standards. Digital signatures are produced on FIPS 140-2 Level 3 cryptographic hardware devices, which are issued to officials of vetted organisations.
