MÁS

MÁS is a digital identity application launched in September 2022 by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) in partnership with Wise Security Global. The platform implements Definitive ID®, a decentralized digital identity system that leverages blockchain technology to issue and manage supporter identification cards. The solution is built on the Alastria network and complies with both GDPR and eIDAS2 regulations while following the W3C Verifiable Credentials standard.

The technical implementation centers around a mobile application that creates self-sovereign digital identities for football fans, allowing them to:

• Store their supporter credentials in a digital wallet
• Access services without passwords while maintaining security
• Control their personal data through data sovereignty features
• Verify their fan status to receive benefits from the federation and sponsors
• Interact with third-party services through verifiable credentials

As one of the first implementations of blockchain-based digital identity in professional sports, MÁS represents a notable case study for decentralized identity adoption in fan engagement platforms. The system operates on the Alastria T-network and emphasizes privacy preservation through its technical architecture. While the platform includes both free and premium subscription tiers for content access, the underlying identity infrastructure remains consistent across all user levels.
