The MYKEEPiN Alliance is a decentralized identity consortium launched in April 2020 by Coinplug, focused on commercializing DID technology beyond traditional financial services. The alliance provides implementation support for MYKEEPiN, a digital signature and authentication service based on W3C DID standards and Self-Sovereign Identity principles.

The technical infrastructure enables users to process identity authentication requests through credentials stored on the MYKEEPiN platform without third-party intermediaries. Key features include:

  • Electronic contract signatures and certificates
  • Secure portal login capabilities
  • Integration with W3C and Decentralized Identity Foundation (DIF) standards
  • Blockchain-based authentication services
  • Digital wallet functionality for Web3 applications

Unlike other Korean DID initiatives that focus primarily on banking and financial services, the MYKEEPiN Alliance has expanded into diverse sectors including gaming, media, education, and government services. Notable implementations include integration with Korea Post Center Pay and the Korea Southern Power Renewable Energy Certificate Trading Platform. The alliance has also pursued international expansion, particularly in Latin America, Vietnam and Thailand, while participating in humanitarian initiatives like the Rohingya Project supported by the UNHCR.
