To build a decentralized blockchain platform to support governance controlled workflows. This project involves demonstrating a method to provide easily designed and maintained decentralized workflows.
Summary
Source

Mosaïque is a decentralized blockchain platform developed by the Cybersecurity Research Lab at Toronto Metropolitan University that focuses on implementing governance-controlled workflows and digital identity management. The platform utilizes Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) technology and integrates with W3C Verifiable Credentials to enable secure, decentralized identity verification and management.

The core technical components of Mosaïque include:

  • Data-driven state machine technology with 3,000 transactions per second throughput
  • Contextual rendered data for workflow visualization
  • Integration with Hyperledger Fabric for blockchain implementation
  • Support for Hyperledger Aries and Hyperledger Indy for identity verification
  • Cloud services for enterprise digital wallet functionality
  • Implementation of W3C Verifiable Credentials standard

The platform's flagship implementation is eSÛRe, a proof-of-concept application for real estate transactions that consists of three interoperable components:

  • Transparent Bidding Blockchain for tracking property bids
  • Smart Property Ledger for property registration and title transfers
  • Pre-construction Contract Registry for managing pre-build contracts

The project has received recognition through:

Winner of the Enterprise Blockchain Awards in the New Frontiers category
Advancement to prototype phase in the IBM Hyperledger Challenge

To test Mosaïque, we have developed our own proof-of-concept application, eSÛRe, a fully decentralized application for bidding, tracking, and exchanging property rights. eSÛRe is made up of 3 interoperable applications, which can be used together or as standalone systems: the Transparent Bidding Blockchain, Smart Property Ledger, and Pre-construction Contract Registry.
