A digital solution with verifiable credentials capabilities powered by blockchain technology which has the security features required to ensure that the credentials issued has not been modified for malicious intent.
Summary

iDentiti is a blockchain-based digital identity solution developed by ITPSS Sdn Bhd in Brunei Darussalam that implements Self-Sovereign Identity principles and verifiable credentials. The system utilizes various cryptographic protocols and blockchain technology to ensure credential security and prevent unauthorized modifications. Key technical features include:

  • Enhanced Security through:
    • Cryptographic protocols
    • Blockchain-based hashing methods
    • Biometric verification with facial and fingerprint recognition
  • Privacy-preserving features:
    • Zero-knowledge proofs for selective disclosure
    • Self-sovereignty protocol for user data control
    • Password-less authentication
  • Real-time verification capabilities between credential holders and verifiers

The project emerged from research and development initiatives by ITPSS in collaboration with Brunei's government agencies, including the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications and the Authority for Info-Communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI). It was publicly demonstrated during the MYCE 2022 Digital Technology Week conference, though its current deployment status and adoption metrics are not publicly disclosed. The solution appears primarily focused on addressing identity verification challenges within Brunei's digital ecosystem, particularly around credential forgery prevention and secure identity management.
