Empe Wallet

Empe Wallet is a decentralized identity wallet launched in 2023 that implements Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) principles for managing digital credentials and identity data. The wallet leverages several key technologies including blockchain, Zero-Knowledge Proofs, and artificial intelligence to enable privacy-preserving identity management.

The core technical implementation includes support for W3C DID and Verifiable Credentials standards, along with protocols like OpenID Connect, SD-JWT, OID4VC, OID4VP, and SIOPv2. The wallet is built as a non-custodial solution, meaning users maintain full control of their private keys and identity data. Notable features include:

• Decentralized Identifiers using the did:empe method
• Verifiable Credentials storage and sharing
• Proof of Reputation system for building trusted digital identity
• Zero-Knowledge Proof capabilities for private data sharing
• Integration with both Web2 and Web3 services

The project was officially released at GITEX 2023: Future Blockchain Summit and is available on both iOS and Android platforms. While still in early stages of adoption, Empe Wallet aims to provide infrastructure for verifiable digital identity that bridges traditional and decentralized systems while maintaining user privacy and data sovereignty.
