Domi

Domi is a digital identity solution for the rental housing market that implements Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) technology to create a privacy-preserving rental management system. Founded in 2019 by Domi Labs in Berlin, the platform enables tenants to maintain portable digital credentials for rental applications while giving property managers tools for verification and communication. The project received funding from the European Union's H2020 research program (grants #871498 and #871932) and graduated from the SSI Incubator in San Francisco.

The technical implementation focuses on privacy-by-design principles and GDPR compliance through its SSI architecture. Key features include:
