Altme

Altme is a Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) wallet launched in 2022 that combines cryptocurrency management with decentralized identity features. Built on Talao's decentralized identity technology, it implements the W3C Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) and Verifiable Credentials standards to enable users to manage both digital assets and identity credentials in a single application.

The wallet's core technical features include Zero-Knowledge Proofs through integration with PolygonID, support for multiple blockchains including Ethereum, Polygon, Tezos, and BNB Chain, and compliance with the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) standards. It uses the OIDC4VC protocol for credential issuance and verification, implementing privacy-preserving features that allow users to prove claims about their identity without revealing underlying personal data.

Notable partnerships and adoption include:

• Collaboration with YOTI for age verification
• Partnership with PepChecker for sanctions list screening

The project emphasizes regulatory compliance while maintaining user privacy, supporting both off-chain verification through Verifiable Credentials and on-chain compliance through non-transferable NFTs (SBTs).
